Chardonnay – Bendigo 2025

This barrel fermented chardonnay shows aromas of lemon, magnolia, almond kernel, and apple pie aromas. Crisp lemon and ruby grapefruit citrus notes, elderflower, William pear, yellow nectarine skin, white pepper, and oyster shell minerality on the palate. Persistent, linear with silky, lemon butter texture, and vanillin French oak tannins.

2024 Vintage

92 points, Silver, #2 of 30 2024 Chardonnay from Australia, Top Rank – The Real Review.

“Toasty oak and creamy lees unite on the nose, together with a little smoky reduction and meaty charcuterie. The wine is rich and fleshy, full-bodied and generously flavoured…”

91 Points – Wine Pilot

“There’s a softness and warm familiarity at first – Chardonnay fully ripened and looking good – before expanding into some more subtle winemaker-induced complexity. Yellow peach, nectarine, mango skin, citrus and pear show a richness in summer fruits, well worth the sourcing of this Chardonnay from Balgownie Estate in Bendigo. They are joined by roasted nuts, vanilla, spice and a touch of warm buttery-ness that elevates the flavour profile and the palate. A strong finish seals the deal.” Jeni Port, October, 2024.
