2025 Kyneton Ridge Cabernet Rose

Pale strawberry-blush in colour; this Macedon Ranges Rosé is predominately Cabernet Sauvignon grown at Glenhope with a dash of estate grown Nebbiolo.  It has a nose full of wild raspberry, blackcurrant bramble, raspberry cane, musk, and rosehips. These follow on the zippy, savoury palate with pink grapefruit, blackcurrant, pomegranate, mint, watermelon rind, spicy sumac and bay leaf on the dry, linear palate.

90/100, Silver, #18 of 46 2023 Rosés from Victoria – The Real Review.

“Subtle notes of fresh herbs mix with roses and red cherries on the nose. The palate welcomes with red berry flavours and a refreshing line of acidity. Its cushioned core is balanced with a freshness. This is a lovely balanced rosé.” Gabrielle Poy, 5 Jul 2024.

90 Points – Wine Pilot

“Cabernet Sauvignon fruit is sourced from Glenhope in Macedon Ranges and matured in French oak for 4 months. There is a real presence of fragrant nursery flowers here. Tea rose, Freesia and lavender. Redcurrants, strawberry jam and vanilla icing. Peach iced tea and cantaloupe. The wine is dry with assertive structure, showcasing the Cabernet variety. A wash of lengthy acidity and clean pink lady apple finish. Drinking well now and could handle white meats like pork loin or roast chicken.” Shanteh Wale, August 2024.
