2024 Kyneton Ridge Pinot Noir Reserve

A limited-edition estate grown, made and bottled wine, only 200 dozen have been produced. It has the intensity and structure that has defined the pinot noir from the Kyneton Ridge Home vineyard. With over 12 months in fine French oak it is good drinking now and will reward further cellar age.

From the first aromas of dancing blackcurrant and cherry, backed by earthy mushroom and fine white oak, it leads into a complex savoury palate of plum, pomegranate, kirsch and cranberry. The fine mature tannins and restrained acidity promise longevity and future secondary and tertiary flavour development.

2023 Vintage

96 points, Gold Ranked #3 of 24 2023 Pinot Noir from Macedon Ranges (Class Six: Pinot Noir) Huon Hooke, The Real Review.

“Medium-deep and bright red-purple in the glass, a promising appearance, and the bouquet backs up with lovely ripe aromas of dark cherry and blackberry—sweetly ripe and plush, with a backing of smart oak, and the full-bodied flavours and ample tannins resound on the middle and finish and linger with a lasting volume that is truly satisfying. A superb pinot noir with a bright future. 03 Dec 2024. Drink 2025–2038.” Huon Hooke.

94 Points – Wine Pilot

“Boasts the lifted aromatic cool climate qualities of Macedon Ranges Pinot Noir with some oomph. Harmony reigns on the bouquet in chocolate and spice, black cherry and plum, five spice and aniseed. Runs generous and long with supple tannins allowing a good build-up across the palate of delicious, juicy red fruits, plum and spice with a pinch of dried herbs…” Jeni Port, October 2024.
